About Chelsea

Hi hi! I’m Chelsea, and I’m glad you’re here.

I’m a Midwestern transplant who will probably have a glass of sweet tea during our session. An alum of University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, I received my BSW and MSW in 2015 and 2017, respectively. I (lovingly but enthusiastically) fled the cornfields and have been thoroughly enjoying Maryland’s classic Old Bay seasoning ever since.
  • Update 2023:  Life has brought me back to Illinois, more specifically Chicago, while maintaining my license in Maryland. I now work solely within telehealth as well as virtual and in-person consulting for students and professionals. Ironically, now I miss Old Bay and crab cakes dearly.

A combination of lived experiences, years of training, and witnessing the lack of comprehensive and inclusive sexual education has centered my clinical priorities on LGBTQ+ clients and clients working through sexual health matters (including sexual exploration, gender and sexuality, and healing from sexual trauma).

I have also found passion in educating the next generation of clinical social workers as well as fellow clinicians looking to expand their understanding of sex therapy. Candid and caring, I love to walk others through clinical applications and bias within monogamy, kink, and sexuality.

I consider my career to be an honor. While I enjoy being comfortable with the uncomfortable, I recognize that seeking therapy for support, especially in areas of life that are often considered taboo, is incredibly difficult. As such, I value your trust and vulnerability as absolutely sacred.
